TunisiaTourismTV - In the heart of the village of Sidi Bou Said, Ennejma Ezzahra is a opulent Neo-Moorish palace built by a British subject passionate about Arab culture who decided to settle in Tunisia in the 1910s: Baron Rodolphe d’Erlanger.
Baron d’Erlanger was a painter. He was also an admirer of Tunisian and Oriental music and he published a treatise on Arab music.
Today, his palace houses a musical instruments museum. It is also a cultural center and a venue for concerts and exhibitions.
Ennejma Ezzahra means “Star of Venus”.
